An Israeli citizen living in New York was sentenced to prison for organ trafficking.
Levy Izhak Rosenbaum, 61, of Brooklyn, was sentenced Wednesday to 2 1/2 years in prison. He had pleaded guilty last Oct. 27 to three counts of organ trafficking and one count of conspiracy in a New Jersey federal court.
At a two-day summit including Interpol, government ministers and victims of forced labor and child slavery, Schmidt said the Internet can help fight traffickers of drugs, sex workers and organs.

Polish police have brought charges against 23 Poles suspected of offering organs for sale during the first large-scale operation against organ trafficking, Poland’s Police Headquarters reported on Friday.
“This is the first large-scale operation against the trafficking of organs [in Poland],” Polish Press Agency quoted police spokesman Mariusz Sokolowski as saying.
Narrating a recent incident that happened at a city-based corporate hospital, he said that a kidney was irresponsibly dumped by a hospital because of its insistence that the transplantation be performed in their centre itself.
Police on Tuesday arrested 10 people on suspicion of running a human organ trafficking ring.
The traffickers are accused of matching poor kidney donors with those requiring urgent transplants, before pocketing most of the profits and failing to pass them on to donors – despite promising them financial rewards.
The details of the course were announced at a special awareness seminar organized by Ignou where officials from Nagpur University and the city police were present.
Shirish Deshpande from the postgraduate department of law, Nagpur University, said, "Human trafficking is happening for various reasons, for sexual or physical exploitation, removal of human organs etc.
