THE plight of a 14-year-old girl who was allegedly being pimped out by a 20-year-old woman at various points across the parish of St Catherine is one of two human trafficking cases that will be brought before the courts soon.

A routine traffic stop by police in January led to a Dorchester man’s arrest on charges of human trafficking, three decades after he was convicted of raping two women at the Harvard Business School and a third woman in Jamaica Plain, authorities said.
A Jamaican man has been arrested on federal sex-trafficking charges filed in Miami.
Damion St. Patrick Baston, 36, who was arrested in New York earlier this week, is soon expected to be transferred to Miami, authorities say.
Indian businessman Rajesh Gurunani who is accused of human trafficking is expected to stand trial in the Home Circuit Court today.
The businessman, who operates stores in Kingston and St Catherine, is also facing the charge of withholding passports.
