During the day, Shandra Woworuntu was forced to service men at a brothel tucked away in New London. At night, she was driven to hotels in Connecticut and forced to service more men.
The 47-year-old victim, a resident of China who speaks only Mandarin, managed to break free on Wednesday and ran to a nearby restaurant, where someone called police.
"Due to the language barrier, obviously, it was challenging," Windsor Locks Police Chief Eric Osanitsch said Thursday.
