THE plight of a 14-year-old girl who was allegedly being pimped out by a 20-year-old woman at various points across the parish of St Catherine is one of two human trafficking cases that will be brought before the courts soon.

A WOMAN accused of human trafficking declined to participate in an identification parade for a witness to pick out a suspect who withheld her passport and forced her into prostitution.

Indian businessman Rajesh Gurunani who is accused of human trafficking is expected to stand trial in the Home Circuit Court today.

The businessman, who operates stores in Kingston and St Catherine, is also facing the charge of withholding passports.
